Counselling & Therapy for Life’s Transitions – Neoself

Confidential, compassionate, and completely at your pace.

About Rachna Tuli Mashkaria – Counsellor & Therapist

For the past 14 years, I’ve walked alongside children, students, parents, professionals and elderly as they navigate life’s twists and turns. With a Master’s in Career & Developmental Counselling, my role isn’t to “fix” you, because you are not broken. My role is to be a guide, a mentor, a steady presence who helps you look within and uncover your own clarity and confidence.

I believe therapy is not about giving advice. It’s about holding up a mirror so you can see your own possibilities more clearly. Together, we’ll work on building resilience, finding balance, and helping you step into the life you want to create.
This is your journey. I’m simply here to walk alongside you.

Why Therapy Helps

Life doesn’t come with a manual. We all go through moments where stress, confusion, or sadness feels too heavy to carry alone. Therapy is simply a space to share, reflect, and find clarity with someone trained to guide you, confidentially and without judgment.

Talking to a therapist doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you’re taking care of yourself.

Therapy gives you tools to understand your emotions, improve relationships, and make decisions that feel true to you.

People seek therapy for stress, anxiety, career confusion, relationship challenges, grief, and emotional overwhelm, all of which are natural parts of being human.

Frequently Asked Questions About Counselling

What is a counselling session like?

Think of counselling as a safe, private conversation. Together, we explore what’s troubling you, why it might be happening, and how you can move forward. You share only what feels comfortable, this is your space, at your pace.

People come to counselling for many reasons: feeling stressed, anxious, sad, or overwhelmed; struggling with habits or relationships; wanting clarity about career or life choices; or simply needing extra support during a difficult time.

When it’s working well, counselling gives you new insights into your situation, clearer thinking, a release from troubling emotions, and a stronger sense of peace within yourself.

Therapy is a partnership between you and your counsellor. Sometimes it’s easy, sometimes it brings up difficult feelings, but it’s always a process of discovery, healing, and growth.

Yes. Everything you share in counselling is private and confidential. The only rare exception is if your safety, or someone else’s safety, is at risk.

We’ll talk about what brought you here, and you’ll share your background at a pace you’re comfortable with. You may have a few forms to fill, but mostly, it’s about beginning your journey.

Sessions usually last 45 minutes to 1 hour. Many people come once a week to maintain consistency and progress.

If emotions, stress, or life events are overwhelming your day-to-day life, affecting your relationships, or leaving you feeling stuck, counselling can help. Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Do I need psychotherapy?

If you often feel anxious, depressed, fatigued, irritable, or struggle with relationships and daily functioning, psychotherapy may help you understand and work through the root causes.

Together, we explore your inner emotional world. By understanding where your feelings and behaviors come from, you gain the power to create change.

Yes. Emotional stress often shows up in the body, headaches, fatigue, sleep issues, or appetite changes. Counselling can help address the root causes behind these symptoms.

Not at all. Everyone needs support at times. Seeking counselling shows courage and self-awareness, not weakness. Many people, even those with strong knowledge of psychology, seek therapy when life feels heavy.

That depends on you and your situation. We’ll work together to understand your needs and choose the right approach for your journey.

Your records are completely confidential. No one, not even close family or doctors  can access them without your permission.

The most powerful tool in therapy is you. Being open, honest, and willing to explore whatever comes up will help shorten your journey and make it more effective.

It’s therapy over the internet. It’s convenient, cost-effective, and especially helpful if you live far away or prefer more anonymity. However, it’s not suitable for emergencies or severe mental health crises.
